At the symposium, they unanimously expressed their determination: “In our future work, we will adopt an even more energetic mindset, a more vigorous and enterprising attitude, and a more pragmatic work style, striving hard, taking responsibility, and achieving outstanding results and making new contributions.” (Contributed by the Party and Mass Work Department)

Based on the spirit of the flood-control consultation meeting held by the Provincial Flood Control Headquarters on July 25 and relevant information released by Fengxin County, Typhoon “Gami” is expected to bring windy and rainy weather, with localized heavy rain, from the 26th to the 27th. Employees in affected areas are advised to take note of the following: First, the inclement weather may adversely affect waterborne and road traffic; please remain vigilant. Second, temporary sheds, dilapidated buildings, and other structures should be protected against strong winds—conduct safety inspections in advance and implement reinforcement measures. Personnel working at heights and those involved in ongoing construction projects must prioritize workplace safety. I. II. Impact of the Typhoon on Fengxin County From the 25th to the 27th, under the influence of Typhoon “Gami,” Fengxin County is expected to experience strong winds and precipitation, with accumulated rainfall ranging from 50 to 80 mm, locally exceeding 100 mm. Rainfall distribution will be highly uneven, leading to a noticeable easing of the high-temperature conditions. During the period of “Gami’s” impact, wind gusts on rivers, lakes, plains, river valleys, and high-altitude mountainous areas could reach around Level 7. III. To celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, promote the great spirit of Party building, strengthen the Party’s leadership over state-owned enterprises, enhance Party member education, improve personal cultivation, reinforce Party consciousness, and foster a positive image among Party members—thereby effectively enhancing the capacity of Party cadres to fulfill their duties—Southern Environmental Protection recently organized a red-themed walking tour activity under the theme “Revisiting Glorious Years, Carrying Forward the Red Legacy.” --- YePing Ancient Village: A Legacy of Red Finance Passed Down Through Generations At the YePing Revolutionary Site Complex, guided by docents, participants visited key revolutionary sites and memorials, including the former site of the National Bank of the Chinese Soviet Republic. It was within these modest buildings—each covering less than 200 square meters—that the pioneers of the Republic laid the foundation for China’s red financial system, accumulated invaluable experience for establishing a nationwide banking framework, and left behind an enduring revolutionary spirit that continues to inspire generations. --- The Sweet Spring of Hongjing: Timeless Bonds Between the Military and the People “Never forget those who dug the well when you drink its water; always remember Chairman Mao!” Standing beside the Red Well in Shazhouba, attendees listened to a vivid mini‑Party lesson, engaged in discussions about the cultural significance of the Red Well, and even tasted the cool, clear spring water drawn with a wooden ladle. Amidst the sweltering summer heat, they felt both the invigorating power of the revolutionary spirit and the refreshing sweetness of the spring, as if transported back to the revolutionary era, deeply experiencing the unbreakable bond between the Party and the people—sharing the same breath and destiny. --- A Solemn Hall: Echoes of Revolutionary Days Resonate Through Time Entering the Grand Hall of the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic, participants took their seats in solemn silence, listening intently as guides shared stories from the past. Outside the hall, accompanied by the stirring songs and resolute steps of veteran soldiers, everyone revisited the long and turbulent years of revolution, planting deep roots of red heritage in their hearts. To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, strengthen Party-member education, enhance ideological cultivation, and reinforce Party members’ confidence and determination to carry forward the legacy of revolutionary martyrs and continue striving for progress, on the morning of April 28, 2024, Party members from the First and Second Party Branches of Southern Environmental Protection visited the Fang Zhimin Patriotic Deeds Exhibition Hall to conduct a themed Party Day activity titled “Remembering Martyrs and Recalling Our Original Aspirations; Forging Ahead with Steadfast Party Spirit.” Led by the docent, participants collectively toured the exhibition hall, retracing the life journey of martyr Fang Zhimin—his aspirations to serve the country, his relentless pursuit of national rejuvenation, his revolutionary efforts to save the nation, his ultimate sacrifice for the cause, and his enduring legacy. Within the exhibition space, reproduced handwritten manuscripts penned during his imprisonment vividly conveyed the noble sentiments of this great revolutionary—his selfless dedication to the public good—as well as the Communist Party members’ spirit of integrity and unwavering righteousness. Following the tour, a swearing-in ceremony was held for two newly admitted probationary Party members. The ceremony commenced with solemn international songs, after which Li Zhiping, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board, read out the approval decision of the Southern Environmental Protection Party Committee regarding the new members and presented them with their Party badges, extending congratulations to those who had joined the Party. He emphasized that joining the Party is not merely an organizational matter but also requires ideological alignment: members must deeply understand the Party oath and put it into practice through concrete actions, consciously shouldering the historic mission of the Party in the new era. Finally, under the leadership of Comrade Li Zhiping, the two probationary Party members stood before the Party flag and solemnly took their oath, expressing their loyalty to the Party and firm conviction in the communist cause through resolute words.
