Striving for Progress and Brimming with Spirited Determination—Highlights from Southern Environmental Protection’s Participation in the Fourth Staff Sports Meet of Fengxin High-Tech Industrial Park

As autumn fades and winter approaches, riding on the lingering spirit of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the Fourth Workers’ Sports Meet of the High-Tech Industrial Park—co-hosted by the Fengxin County Federation of Trade Unions and the High-Tech Industrial Park—was held with great fanfare at the Workers’ Home on November 13–14. Southern Company was invited to take part.

Southern Environmental Protection participated in the park’s sports meet for the first time, with all employees enthusiastically signing up, meticulously preparing, and actively taking part. The company selected 32 athletes to compete in eight events, including individual rope skipping, table tennis, badminton, as well as team juggling and tug-of-war. After fierce competition, the team secured third place in the team juggling‑drum event, third place in the individual table tennis event, third place in the individual badminton event, and second and third places in the individual 50-meter sprint. The event showcased both individual prowess and the company’s strong sense of unity.

At the opening ceremony, to the rousing strains of the athletes’ march, the entire Southern Environmental Protection team marched in uniform, their steps brisk and resolute. Chanting the team slogan—“Strive for progress, maintain high spirits, Southern Environmental Protection, and create new glories”—they strode confidently past the reviewing stand. Their synchronized cadence underscored the employees’ shared commitment, while their powerful chants expressed Southern Environmental Protection’s unwavering determination to forge ahead, fully showcasing the vibrant energy and upward‑looking spirit of all staff.

Chairman Li Zhiping set an exemplary example by registering to compete in table tennis, greatly inspiring the company’s athletes and boosting their confidence.

Now, let’s follow the camera and experience this exhilarating sporting event.

“Rope”-inspired flying

“Ready—jump!” At the referee’s command, a massive rope whirled as the women leapt and bounded, embodying the vibrant energy and spirited determination of Southern environmentalists.

“Drum” Stirs the Heart

“On your marks, get set…” With the referee’s crisp whistle, everyone worked in perfect harmony—thinking as one, pulling together with one heart and one mind, and keeping their eyes on the same goal—demonstrating that unity is strength.

Uniting as one, we can move mountains and reshape the world.

At the referee’s command, participants lowered their centers of gravity, thrust their front legs straight, bent their back legs, and focused all their energy. The shouts of “Come on! Come on!” reverberated deafeningly; flushed cheeks and visible veins were a testament to the clash of strength among the park’s enterprises—and to their unity as one.

Give it your all in “ping,” and create brilliance in “pong.”

This sports meet has fully showcased the fine spirit of Southern Environmental Protection’s employees—determined to strive for progress, courageous in competition, united in collaboration, and harmoniously advancing. All cadres and staff will take this as an opportunity to uphold the Olympic ideals of “Faster, Higher, Stronger,” and, with a vigorous and enterprising mindset, accelerate Southern Environmental Protection’s momentum on the path of high-quality development.
